Location:
It is located on the outskirts of the Sant Fruitós de Bages town in Barcelona province.
Description and History:
Construction of the monastery began about the year 950.
In 1835 the call that forced confiscation law was passed to religious
orders to leave their possessions and the monastery stay abandoned.
In 1910, the painter 'Ramon Casas' acquired the monastery grounds and
commissioned the renovation of the building, heavily damaged by time,
his friend Puig.
In year 2000, ownership passed to 'Caixa de Manresa' bought houses to
heirs. Since then this financial institution has taken over its
conservation and restoration.
